TwenteSideFlex is designed for spiral or oval systems without a central drum driving the belt. Sprockets are mounted on one or two vertical shafts on the outside of the belt and engage the outer drive link.
The absence of a central drum frees up that space for any use. Thanks to this design, a TwenteSideFlex system is easier to clean, allows wider belts and makes it possible to place multiple belts in one layout.

How does TwenteSideFlex differ from inside direct drive?
IDD drives the belt from the inside (on the cage/drum), while TwenteSideFlex drives it from the outside with sprockets on vertical shafts. Outside direct drive completely eliminates the central drum, freeing up space and allowing multiple belts in one system.
Do I need a special belt?
No - TwenteSideFlex uses the standard TwenteFlex belt. The difference is the drive method (from the outside), which enables a simple retrofit.
